let me tell you mine..
I graduated in 2014 with an A.A.S in Veterinary Technology & currently work in small animal medicine, I worked in emergency/critical care medicine for 4 years. This background in veterinary medicine allows me to stay up-to-date with the newest research and have resources available at my fingertips regarding healthcare for my dogs. We are constantly learning and attending continuing education in nutrition, orthopedics (IVDD), behavior, vaccinations, and overall health related to the dachshund breed.
"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole."

I believe that the preservation of the breed requires breeding dogs to be health tested with OFA-CHIC breed required guidelines per our breed parent club, The Dachshund Club of America (Cardiac, Eyes & Patellas). We also test for the optional Thyroid and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). All dogs and litters we produce are AKC registered and come with co-own registration. Puppies produced from our owned/bred by dogs will be from health-tested parents and free of genetic health issues. *Unfortunately, the breed -specific testing per OFA for Dachshunds is minimal, and accomplished preservation breeders do not consider this health information relative to the breed, thus some stud dogs used for a breeding may or may not have health testing results available. Our Dachshunds live indoors as we do not have a kennel. They enjoy a fenced yard, come to work with me, and cuddle in my bed every night. Our Dachshunds are rather spoiled and treated like family; they get a lot of attention, socialization, and, of course, plenty of playtime.
We are members of the: Hoosier Dachshund Club, Buckeye Dachshund Club, Louisville Dachshund Club & our application to become a member of our national breed club The Dachshund Club of America is pending.
